Marty Ryall
Director at Division of Arkansas Heritage
Marty serves as Director of the Division of AR Heritage, where he oversees the state’s museums, archives, historic preservation programs, natural heritage efforts, and arts initiatives—work that helps preserve and share Arkansas’s rich history and culture. He also serves as Director of Legislative Affairs for the AR Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, where he represents the department at the State Capitol and works closely with members of the General Assembly. Marty is also the Vice-Chairman of the AR 250 Commission, helping lead our state’s efforts to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States and to highlight Arkansas’s role in our nation’s story. Marty has more than 30 years of experience in government, politics, public service, and international work, including time in Liberia and Nigeria with the International Republican Institute. A native of Star City and a graduate of Florida State University, Marty is committed to serving the people of Arkansas.
