Dan Herrington

Chief Administrative Officer at Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas

Dan Herrington was named Chief Administrative Officer of the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas on Dec. 7, 2023. As CAO, Dan leads HR, Training and Development, and Campus Services. He joined the Coops after a 27-year career with Friday, Eldredge & Clark where he advised employers in all areas of labor and employment law. He practiced before the EEOC, OSHA, NLRB, DOL, Arkansas Supreme Court and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. A strong suit was preparing witnesses. Twice voted a top attorney by readers of Arkansas Business, Dan was recognized nationally in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Mid-South Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America. He was named by Best Lawyers as "Lawyer of the Year" in labor and employment litigation in 2016 and 2018 and in 2021 in labor law/management. Dan completed his BS in Business Management at ASU Jonesboro and his JD at Bowen, graduating with high honors. Dan was CAHRA’s 2019 Member of the Year.

Cara Butler advises businesses and not-for-profits on employment and workplace issues. She counsels employers on wage and hour compliance matters with federal, state and local laws. She advises human resources and business executives on management issues related to hiring and termination procedures, employee discipline procedures, state and federal leave laws and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Prior to joining Mitchell Williams, Cara gained extensive knowledge of employment law as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Jane Kim began her employment law practice in 2007 at Wright Lindsey Jennings. She is the WLJ Labor & Employment Team Leader and formerly led the firm’s attorney recruitment and hiring efforts. Jane defends clients in state and federal court actions – including class and collective actions – involving civil rights, wage and hour, employment agreements, covenants not to compete and trade secrets claims. Jane regularly provides advice and training on employment law compliance and represents employers in state and federal government agency investigations. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America©, Chambers USA and Mid-South Super Lawyers. Jane is a 2018 class member of Arkansas Business “40 Under 40” and the inaugural Soiree Magazine list of “Women to Watch.” She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock and has been named to Arkansas Business’ “Arkansas 250,” recognizing the 250 most influential Arkansans in the business community.

Cindy Kolb is an attorney at Rose Law Firm in Little Rock becoming a Member at Rose after Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, joined the firm in 2023. Her practice areas include employment law and insurance defense litigation. She regularly speaks on employment law and HR-related topics for groups around the state. Cindy co-chaired the Arkansas Bar’s 2020 Annual Meeting and its 2018 Mid-Year Meeting, and served as Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Bar in 2012-2013. Cindy was 2014 Chair of the ELLA Conference. She is a member of the Central Arkansas Human Resources Association (CAHRA) and was chapter President in 2021. She previously served as VP of Communications, VP for Special Programs, and Chair of the CAHRA Managers Conference. She is a member of the Judge Henry Woods Inn of Court. Cindy also previously served on the Board of the Museum of Discovery. Cindy graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and has been practicing law for 28 years.

H. Wayne Young is a partner with the Friday, Eldredge & Clark law firm and a member of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. He was named the 2017 Russell Gunter Legislative Advocacy Award Recipient by the Arkansas SHRM. The award recognizes outstanding contributions of time and effort in local, state or federal legislative advocacy on behalf of the Human Resources profession. He is a member of CAHRA and was awarded the association’s Legislative Advocacy Award for 2018. He has been recognized for his work in labor and employment by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America and is distinguished as a Mid-South Super Lawyer. He is on the Board of Directors of Women and Children First and he is the past president of the Little Rock Downtown Kiwanis Club. Wayne currently serves as General Counsel to the ARSHRM State Council.
