The subject matter experts on employment, legal and legislative issues will provide information on current events related to the conference theme. CEO at Natural State Media
Roby Brock is the CEO of Natural State Media, the parent company for Talk Business & Politics and The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. Brock is the host and executive producer of Talk Business & Politics, a 19-year old multi-media news organization reporting on business and politics in Arkansas.
Under Brock’s direction, content is driven through many channels such as the Talk Business & Politics TV show, which airs Sunday mornings at 9:30 am on KATV Channel 7, 10 am on KAIT’s NBC affiliate, and 10:30 am on KFSM Channel 5 in Northwest Arkansas.
Brock also moderates radio programs on NPR affiliates statewide and a daily digital newscast at TalkBusiness.net. In partnership with Hendrix College, Talk Business & Politics conducts statewide polling on political and business issues throughout the year.
TB&P also reports through a subscription magazine, daily e-newsletters and web reports featuring state business profiles, industry developments, and current political discussions.
In September 2016, Natural State Media acquired the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal and is expanding its coverage in this region of the state. In March 2018, Talk Business & Politics will launch a new print publication in Northeast Arkansas.
Daniel L. Herrington
Partner at Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group
Daniel L. Herrington is a partner in the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group focused on representing employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including ADA, FMLA, Wage and Hour, Title VII, OSHA, and NLRA. He proactively works with his management clients to help ensure their employment decisions can withstand legal scrutiny. Dan has successfully defended those decisions before state and federal agencies and courts, including the EEOC, OSHA, NLRB, DOL, Arkansas Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for Eighth Circuit. He also has extensive experience in litigating covenant not to compete and trade secret cases.
Twice voted as one of the top labor and employment attorneys in Arkansas by the readers of Arkansas Business, Dan has also been recognized nationally for his work in labor and employment since 2010 in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and since 2011 by Mid-South Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America. In addition, he was named by Best Lawyers as "Lawyer of the Year 2018" for his work in labor and employment litigation.
Carolyn B. Witherspoon

Carolyn B. Witherspoon is a director in the Little Rock law firm of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C., where she primarily represents public and private employers in defending employment-related matters, including Title VII litigation. She does extensive training in the employment area for employers. Ms. Witherspoon is a frequent contributor to legal publications on topics involving employment and personnel issues. She earned her B.A. degree from UALR and her J.D. degree, with honors, from the UALR School of Law. She is a former President of the Arkansas Bar Association and former Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section. Ms. Witherspoon is a member of the American Bar Association and is currently serving as Chair of the Commission on Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts and member of the Labor and Employment Law Section and Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee. She is a member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association, a member of the Arkansas Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, Union Internationale des Avocats, Women in Sports Law, and is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Ms. Witherspoon is an arbitrator of The Court of Arbitration for Sport and a member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Employment Arbitrators and Mediators.

Michelle Kaemmerling has been practicing with Wright Lindsey Jennings since relocating to her hometown of Little Rock in 2001. Her practice focuses on employment investigations and litigation, including class actions and collective actions.
