Pay Equity an Examination of: What, Why, and How

Garry has over 20 years of independent consulting experience specializing in providing employee benefits and compensation consulting services to a diverse list of clients including higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, public sector employers, and privately held companies. Garry’s focus is on helping organizations achieve strategic goals through the creative design of sustainable employee benefits and compensation programs. He provides independent and in-depth analysis to ensure that total rewards provide maximum value to support recruitment and retention goals; while also remaining cost-effective and compliant. Compensation consulting services Garry provides include the development of compensation philosophies, pay equity analysis, market benchmarking, job evaluation and classification, review of pay processes and policies, compliance, creation of merit and bonus pay programs, and effective communication of compensation programs. Garry was previously a founding partner of PSL Consulting, an independent advisory firm in Glastonbury CT, specializing in higher education, and Principal Partner at Chernoff Diamond, a New York-based regional consulting firm. He is an active member of CUPA-HR, the International Society of Employee Benefits Specialists and World at Work. He is a board member of the Colonial Total Rewards Association and the Boston Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists. Garry has presented on human resources, compensation and employee benefits topics at national and regional conferences, including CBIA, CUPA, and SACUBO. He holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Connecticut, is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) with fellowship status, licensed insurance consultant and holds a Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) certification.
